Java Developer (Senior) Swing GUI – Banking

Java Developer (Senior) Swing GUI. Talented Java Developer with strong Java Swing GUI development experience sought by leading City based Investment Bank.

You will technically lead the European development team for the sales trading and order management systems and will have Global responsibility for the GUI development components. You will develop the strategy and drive the execution of the Java GUI architecture, setting standards and ensuring best practise is met.

Requirements:
• Extensive Java and Swing development skills with strong experience of GUI application development
• Significant experience of working for an Investment Bank or similar financial institution, ideally with front office equities
• Demonstrated experience of technical leadership or capability to technically lead
• Experience of SVN or another major SCM required (including merging, branching, tagging)
• Excellent communication skills (will regularly liaise with offices in Hong Kong, New York, Mumbai and Tokyo)
• Strong academic record
