Site Reliability Engineer (SRE AWS Grafana Automation Linux Infrastructure). Hugely successful SaaS software house that is disrupting the business telephony market with its advanced Cloud based solution is seeking a technologist Site Reliability Engineer.
The company has a technology driven environment with regular hack-a-thons, coding katas, lunch and learn, training courses and conferences as well as making contributions to the open source community. The systems are highly complex with 100,000 active call logs at any one time, 24/7.
As part of a small team you will be responsible for ensuring safe, predictable deployments and releases of functionality to production; you'll be working with development and operations teams from concept through to production releases, facilitating Continuous Improvement. You will be monitoring the live systems, applications and services; detecting any issues and setting the standard for emergency response to production issues. Your day could involve coding, performance, systems, distributed systems and/or design problems.
Excellent opportunity to work with cloud based (AWS) services and continually improve your skills; based in Basingstoke with a regular shuttle bus to a mainline train station and parking available.
*You're a technologist with a love of problem solving
*You have strong experience with running systems in AWS (or other cloud environment)
*Strong Python coding skills
*Experience with Grafana, with a
*Experience with automation and orchestration frameworks (e.g. Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Salt)
*Linux / Windows OS knowledge
*Familiar with Networking (particularly around SDN)
*Experience of managing databases
*Collaborative team member, keen to share knowledge and learn
