Technical Support Engineer / Application Developer (C Linux PhD). Do you enjoy delving in to complex, intellectually and technically challenging problems? You could be working with some of the brightest minds and continually learning at this Cambridge based technology company.
As a Technical Support Engineer you will support the core product that is used to provide super low latency and high performance for clients including global Investment Banks and Stock Exchanges. This is not a turn if off / turn it back on again kind of role! You'll be working with the client's technical staff to investigate and troubleshoot a substantial code base written in C and working closely with the software engineering team to provide 3rd line support for the network adaptor product.
You'll be based in Cambridge offices, a short walk from the town centre, onsite parking available and commutable by train. There's a casual dress code, kitchen and shower facilities, ping-pong table, weekly cakes and onsite Pilates classes to name but a few of the perks!
*Bright, motivated and keen to take on a challenging customer facing role
*Experience developing in C
*Familiar with Linux and Socket programming
*Good knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, Ethernet)
*Love of problem solving
*Must be degree educated, Computer Science or closely related subject from a top tier university; likely to be MSc / PhD educated
