Job Description

Technical Support Engineer / Systems Support Engineer (UNIX /Linux). Would you like to work on complex and interesting systems that provide daily challenges; collaborate with a friendly and upbeat team and improve your skills whilst enjoying a range of perks?

As a Technical Support Engineer at this City based Investment Bank you will help support the day-to-day operations of the electronic trading systems and the trading desk with both internal and external clients. You'll partner with software and infrastructure owners to solve software and hardware issues with significant business interaction across the Front Office. You can also influence system design, platform management and capacity planning.

Requirements:
*Strong systems support experience with a good knowledge of UNIX / Linux OS
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*Ability to multi-task and prioritise tasks effectively
*Understanding of key networking technologies
*Desire and aptitude to quickly pick up new technologies
*Nice to have: experience in an eTrading environment, FIX
