C++ Software Engineer / Developer (C++ Linux) Chicago / WFH to $185,000

Do you have expertise with modern C++? You could be progressing your career in a senior, hands-on role at a global proprietary algorithmic trading firm; you'll be working on complex and interesting systems as part of a collaborative team with a flat structure where everyone has their voice heard.

As a C++ Software Engineer you will design and develop company wide SDKs and services for OS abstraction, strategy promotion, latency tracking, telemetry, performance optimization, operational visibility and automation frameworks. You'll be using modern tools with a focus on continuous integration and regression testing to build highly performant code in a Linux environment.

Location / WFH:

The company has offices based in Chicago and New York, you could be based in either or alternatively you can work from home on a full-time basis (please note you must be a US citizen or have the right to work).

The whole global team meet up twice a year for a week of networking, fun and team building.

About you:

• You have strong C++ development skills with C++ 14 / C++ 17 within a Linux environment
• You have a strong knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals such as OOP, multi-threading, real-time systems and socket programming
• You have experience with low latency programming, trading systems experience would be of benefit
• You have advanced analysis and problem solving skills
• You're collaborative and pragmatic with fluent English language skills
• You are a US citizen or
