CTO / Head of Engineering London / WFH to £160k+

Are you a senior technology leader with experience of taking a financial product into production, ensuing compliance?

You could be progressing your career in an impactful role at a newly established Fintech start-up, set up by a small team of finance and technology entrepreneurs with a hugely successful track record.

As the CTO / Head of Engineering you will own the technology strategy, and the products launch into production with a focus on ensuring regulatory compliance, the FCA approval is due in April 2026.

You'll collaborate closely with the founders to understand goals and manage the team to design the technology that will form the backbone of the business.

Location / WFH:

You can work from home most of the time, meeting up with colleagues in London occasionally, as the company grows there will likely be some in office requirements but with lots of flexibility.

About you:

• You have experience in a similar role at a Fintech or Wealth Manager with a strong understanding of regulatory compliance within financial services
• You've taken a pre-launch product into production
• You are an experienced technology leader from a software engineering background (the tech stack is Java, AWS and React but you can come from any dev background)
• You have a strong knowledge of modern software engineering best practices
• You are an advocate of AI and keen to explore its capabilities
• You are commercially aware and can see the "big picture"
• You're a skilled problem solver, able to make trade offs and get things done
• You're collaborative and pragmatic with excellent leadership, mentoring and stakeholder management skills
