Data Scientist Birkirkara, Malta to €70,000

Are you a commercially minded Data Scientist with strong forecast modelling skills looking for an opportunity where you can take ownership and make an impact?

As a Data Scientist you'll collaborate with Data Engineers to access, assess, prepare and enrich structured and unstructured datasets with a focus on developing and validating time-series, structural and causal models to forecast outcomes and quantify key drivers.

Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer you will gain a strong understanding of business goals, then define and execute a data science approach to translate model outputs into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for Commercial and Operational teams.

Location / WFH:

You'll join a collaborative, upbeat team based in the office in Birkirkara, Malta on a fulltime basis.

About you:

• You have experience as a Data Scientist
• You have experience with time-series modelling (e.g. SARIMAX, Prophet, BSTS), structural regression, causal inference methods (e.g. Difference-in-Differences, CausalImpact, synthetic control), predictive machine learning techniques (e.g. gradient boosting, random forests, regularized regression)
• You have a strong knowledge of Python (including libraries such as Pandas, Scikit-learn, StatsModels, Prophet)
• You have SQL skills and experience of working with large data warehouse environments
• You are degree educated in mathematics / statistics and have a strong understanding of the theory and implementation of data science techniques
