Lead Cyber Security Engineer Birkirkara, Malta / WFH

Opportunity to progress your career at one of Malta's leading telecommunications providers in a senior, hands-on Cyber Security Lead role.

As a Lead Cyber Security Engineer you will design, implement and maintain security systems and protocols to protect the company's infrastructure, applications and data. You'll provide technical leadership to a small team to perform regular security assessments, vulnerability scans and penetration tests using tools such as Nessus, Burp Suite, NMPA and Metasploit and collaborate with IT, DevOps and compliance teams to ensure that security is embedded across all operations.

Location / WFH:

You'll join a collaborative, upbeat team based in Birkirkara, Malta three days a week with flexibility to work from home the other two days.

About you:

• You have experience in a similar Cyber Security / Information Security role with leadership responsibilities
• You have a strong knowledge of Information Security across cloud and on-prem platforms on Linux, Windows and Kubernetes environments
• You have experience with SIEM, Firewalls, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), Endpoint Protection, and Network Security
• You have scripting / automation skills with Python or bash
• You have a good knowledge of OWASP security risks
• You have a good understanding of ISO 27001
• You have strong analytical and problem solving skills
• You are degree educated in a relevant discipline, i.e. Computer Science, Cyber Security
• You have fluent English language skills
• You're located in Malta with a valid work permit
