Principal Data Architect London / WFH to £120k

Opportunity to join a scaling Investment Research tech company in an impactful role with great benefits and perks.

As the Principal Data Architect you'll own the end-to-end architecture across application, data and platform layers. You will define the target state, create pragmatic transition roadmaps and ensure systems are secure, reliable, cost-effective and built for speed of delivery. You'll collaborate with engineering, data and quantitative analyst teams to make high-level architectural choices whilst remaining hands-on with coding and technical implementation.

Location / WFH:

You'll join the team in London three days a week, with a team breakfast on Mondays and flexibility to work form home twice a week.

About you:

• You have a strong technical data engineering background with data architecture and design expertise including hands-on implementation
• You have experience within B2B SaaS, Data Analytics or Financial Platform environments
• You have experience with cloud technologies (preferably AWS), container orchestration (K8S), Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform) and networking fundamentals
• You have experience with modern data architecture and tools e.g. Kafka, Kinesis), Spark, Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, Airflow, DBT, Snowflake, Databricks, APIs
• You are familiar with financial markets (macro, market data, compliance considerations)
• You're collaborative and pragmatic with great communication skills
