Principal Software Engineer / Architect (C# .Net AWS) Remote / Bristol to £100k

Are you a highly technical Principal Software Engineer with strong architecture and design skills?

You could be progressing your career at a financial services tech consultancy that specialise in solutions for Pensions and Investment Managers.

As a Principal Software Engineer / Architect you will lead the design and development of scalable, robust and secure software solutions, playing a critical role in shaping the technical direction of products balancing architectural design patterns with pragmatic solution design and guiding engineering teams through implementation. You'll ensure secure coding and best practices are being followed and create appropriate technical documentation.

There's approximately a 50/50 split between architecture and coding, you'll become a member of the Architecture Guild, with continual learning and development opportunities and every Friday being dedicated to L&D or collaborating as part of the Architecture Guild.

Location / WFH Policy:

You can work remotely, from home most of the time, joining colleagues in the Bristol or London office fairly regularly (e.g. once a quarter).

About you:

• You have experience with designing, implementing and enhancing native cloud solutions
• You have expertise with C# .Net including .Net Core
• You have experience with microservices, CQRS and Event Sourcing to deliver scalable performant services
• You have experience with Cloud technologies, AWS preferred but Azure also considered
• You have strong database experience with SQL (PostgreSQL or SQL Server)
• You're collaborative with great communication skills and experience of coaching and mentoring
• You're comfortable working as part of a leadership team
