Senior Python Developer / Engineer (Python AWS) London / WFH to £130k

Are you a Python technologist with experience of Front Office trading environments?

You could be progressing your career on the Asset Management side of a global Japanese bank as they expand this product offering within the UK.

As a Senior Python Developer, you'll design, develop and enhance high performance trading systems and cloud infrastructure that support critical front, middle and back office operations. Collaborating with stakeholders across the business, you'll translate complex requirements into scalable, resilient technology that drives efficiency and business growth.

You'll lead projects from design through to deployment, building secure, highly available systems capable of handling large volumes of market and trading data. Alongside hands-on development, you'll champion engineering best practices, automation, DevOps and cloud architecture, helping to continuously improve the team's technical capabilities.

Location / WFH:

You'll be based in the London, Bank office three days a week with flexibility to work from home twice a week.

About you:

• You have advanced backend Python development skills
• You have a strong knowledge of AWS, DevOps practices, CI/CD, Containerisation
• You're comfortable with occasional front end work
• You have experience of owning the end-to-end software delivery lifecycle, are proactive in bringing solutions problems identified
• You have experience of working in Front Office trading environments
• You're pragmatic with great communication skills
