Site Reliability Engineer / Technical Lead (SRE AWS Azure) Cambridge / WFH to £80k

As a Site Reliability Engineer / Technical Lead, you'll take ownership of the reliability and operability of a modern cloud platform, partnering closely with Platform Engineering and DevSecOps to build resilient, highly available systems that scale. You'll drive infrastructure automation, improve observability, define SLOs and reliability standards, optimise performance and capacity and eliminate operational toil through engineering led solutions.

This is a deeply technical role for an engineer who enjoys debugging complex production systems, leading major incident response, conducting root cause analysis, and solving reliability challenges at scale. You'll work closely with software engineers to embed reliability into system design from the outset, influence architectural decisions and continually evolve the tooling, platforms and engineering practices that underpin high performing services.

Location / WFH:

About you:

• You have strong experience in SRE, DevOps or infrastructure engineering
• You have strong programming / scripting skills in at least one language: Go, Python or similar
• You have indepth experience with cloud platforms AWS and / or Azure
• You have experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog
• You have experience of leading incident response and drive reliability improvements
• You're proficient with container orchestration (Kubernetes) and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Pulumi, or similar)
• You have a good understanding of networking, Linux OS and distributed systems
• You enjoy problem solving and working on complex systems
• You're collaborative with great communication skills
