A leading American university is offering a free online Python coding course during April and May.
Stanford University's Code in Place is a six week course using material from the first half of the university's established introduction to programming.
The course will be taught in small virtual classrooms run by a member of Stanford's teaching teams, with students expected to work 15-20 hours a week.
Code in Place teaches the fundamentals of computer programming using Python. This course is for "everyone from humanists, social scientists, to hardcore engineers".
"Code in Place require no previous background in programming--just a willingness to work hard and a love for learning. It requires considerable dedication and hard work, over a course of 5 weeks."
Would-be students can enrol for the April 13 start date here.
