Matt Brosnihan: Our Rookie of the Year

Matt joined the Client Server Regional team (CSR) in May 2024, stepping into the world of recruitment with zero industry experience. But that didn’t slow him down for a second.

"I came in as a Trainee Consultant and have already worked my way up to Junior Consultant. This is definitely the career for me, and I don’t plan on slowing down anytime soon!"

From day one, Matt found momentum, building his confidence and skillset.

Why Client Server Stood Out

For Matt, it all started with a recommendation from a trusted contact who’d worked with Client Server for years. After just one conversation with the team, he was sold.

"The clear progression paths, the great company culture, and the level of support on offer really stood out. It just felt like the right place to learn and grow."

Knowing there was a solid structure in place to support his development made the decision easy.

Training, Mentorship & Growth

Coming in with no recruitment background, Matt knew the learning curve could be steep—but Client Server made sure he was never climbing it alone.

"The training and support were fantastic from the get-go. What really helped was the mentorship. Being paired with someone who truly knows the ins and outs of the job meant I could learn and grow quickly. I was definitely not left to figure it out by myself!"

That hands-on, guided approach helped Matt build confidence and capability fast.

First Wins

Every recruiter remembers their first placement, and for Matt, it was a game-changing moment.

"Getting that first placement over the line, especially after a few early setbacks, felt incredible. It really gave me the push I needed to kick on and keep growing from there."

That win proved that resilience pays off and laid the groundwork for future successes.

The Client Server Culture

Matt’s experience of the culture has been nothing short of positive.

"The culture here is incredible. Everyone made a real effort to welcome me and get to know me, which makes the environment genuinely motivating. It keeps you excited to come to work every day."

The combination of ambition and community spirit is what keeps the energy high.

Beginning in Recruitment

For anyone thinking about starting in recruitment at Client Server, Matt says, "stick at it. Don’t doubt yourself if you hit a few bumps early on. Focus on nailing the process and the results will follow."
