Backend Software Engineer / Go Developer (API) *Remote Process* Pioneering technology-powered financial services company is seeking an accomplished Backend Software Developer to take a lead role on driving enhancements on their core, Open Banking, API-focused product.
Despite being an early stage business, the company has skyrocketed to success and has won notable industry-acclaimed awards. Their cutting-edge technology helps people navigate a complex financial landscape, and their clients include household-name global banks.
As a Backend Software Engineer, you'll participate in Pair Programming to craft well-tested software with SOLID design principles and on highly scalable, performant and complex systems (APIs, HTTP, GRPC) within a containerised microservices environment encompassing Docker, Kubernetes and AWS.
*Please note: this company is able to offer a remote interview and onboarding process as well as 100% work from home during the current social distancing measures. There are plans to return to East London-based offices in the coming months with continued flexible work opportunities (including 2 days a week working from home)*
Requirements:
*Strong software engineering experience (likely to have a background with C / C++ or Java)
*Commercial Go / Golang development experience
*Thorough understanding of Computer Science fundamentals including OOP, Design Patterns and Data Structures
*Good knowledge of SOLID design principles
*Genuine enthusiasm for technology, you'll likely attend conferences, tech meet-ups and read / write blogs
*Collaborative with strong communication skills
