Job Description

Cloud Security Engineer (AWS DevSecOps) *Remote UK*. Do you have expertise with AWS Security? You could be progressing your career in a senior hands-on role with continual learning opportunities at a growing FinTech with an award winning data analytics platform sold into major financial institutions across the globe.

As a Cloud Security Engineer you will take ownership of defining and implementing the AWS Cloud Security strategy to ensure secure data and workloads, working in collaboration with other senior stakeholders and technologists. You'll work across the full development lifecycle and gain a good understanding of Machine Learning and AI algorithms.

There are regular company wide 'lunch and learn' sessions, weekly general knowledge Slack quizzes and Friday 'virtual pub' sessions to get involved with; if you live near London or Hull there's also opportunities to go into the office if desired.

*You have expertise with AWS Security, ideally certified (although you will have the opportunity to gain this on the job)
*You have a strong knowledge of security controls for workloads on AWS; logging and monitoring strategies; cloud security threat models; patch management and security automation; ways to enhance AWS security services with third-party tools and services; and disaster recovery controls, including BCP and backups, encryption, access control and data retention
*You have a good knowledge of modern infrastructure and DevOps practices
*You're collaborative with excellent communication skills
