Job Description
As a Data Architect / Consultant you will provide consultancy to public sector organisations to enable them to get optimum usage from their ICT investment with a focus on data systems and storage. You'll analyse and develop architectures at enterprise level, utilising your understanding of technologies and operational processes required to achieve this. You'll engage with stakeholders and liaise directly with the client, resolving day to day issues involved in implementation and developing follow-on opportunities.
Due to the nature of the role you will be required to travel to client's sites, mainly London based but could be across the UK, head office based in Guildford, Surrey - although you'll be able to work from home most of the time. This Data Architect / Consultant role provides excellent career progression to; you'll receive training and structured career development leading to professional qualifications.
Requirements:
*Experience of providing technical consultancy to enterprise scale organisations, ideally public sector based
*Experience with data architecture and modelling; data visualisation tools e.g. Power BI, Qilk, Sense; data science tools such as Spark; cloud analytics platforms e.g. Azure platform services
*Experience with some or all of the following: EA frameworks such as TOGAF, MODAF, Zachman; business / systems analysis tools such as BPMN, Lean, RUP, UML; project management methods such as Prince 2 or MSP; central government security policy standards (ISO17799); ITIL
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*Degree educated, 2.1 or above from reputable university in a relevant technical subject (Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Engineering)
*SC Clearance (or able to achieve it, i.e. must have been UK resident for a minimum of 5 years)
