Job Description
As a senior Data Engineer you'll be instrumental in a project to re-engineer one of the company's flagship products that utilises AI and Machine Learning to determine insurance pricing; it aggregates data from a multitude of sources and presents via a web based application. You'll take ownership of architecting and building distributed, scalable and reliable data pipelines to ingest and process data, coding with Python and deploying to AWS. There are many complex technical challenges to get involved with in a state-of-the-art R&D environment that thrives on collaboration.
There's currently a remote interview and onboarding process as well as the ability to work from home; going forward you'll join colleagues in the London office for 2-3 days a week.
Requirements:
*You have data engineering experience including experience of building ETL data pipelines and strong Python coding skills
*You have a good understanding of algorithms and data structures
*You have experience of writing and optimising SQL queries
*You have a good knowledge of AWS
*You're excited about building systems from the ground up, keen to try new things and learn along the way
*You're collaborative and pragmatic with great communication skills
*Ideally you will have experience with data orchestration platforms such as Airflow
