DevOps Engineer (Linux) *Remote Interview WfH*. Are you a technologist seeking complex and interesting systems to apply your skills, continually learn and develop?
You could be joining a well funded tech start-up, spun out of Cambridge University that is developing a SaaS data management product.
As the sole DevOps Engineer you will take ownership of growing the DevOps function and establishing best practice. You'll be working with Linux OS and a range of modern technologies including Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm charts and ArgoCD and helping the company to move to a service mesh microservices deployment and Azure cloud based services. You'll have input into technology choices and be able to shape the future of DevOps within the organisation, allowing you to see the impact of your work.
There's a host of technical challenges to get involved with, you'll be collaborating within an Agile team environment.
Driven by technology the company can offer a remote interview and onboarding process as well as the ability to work from home; in time you'll join colleagues in the Central Cambridge office (10 minute walk from the station) for the middle part of the week with Monday and Friday continuing to work from home (core hours 1000-1630).
*You have a background with Linux systems administration, including shell scripting skills
*You have experience with containerisation technologies e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD
*You have experience with creating and maintaining automated test processes and tools
*You have a good knowledge of git
*You're familiar with Cloud based services; AWS or Azure
*You're excited about taking ownership of the DevOps function for a growing company
*You're collaborative, keen to learn and share knowledge
