Job Description

Infrastructure Engineer / DevOps (Kubernetes AWS R&D CI/CD) *Remote Interview WfH*. Are you a DevOps technologist? You could be progressing your career at a not-for-profit green energy task force.

As a Infrastructure Engineer / DevOps you'll work as part of a small team focussing on evolving the existing DevOps solutions to support ongoing project development activities based around a Jenkins CI pipeline and POC / implementation of a multi-region cloud platform (AWS) monitoring solution.

Typically you'll be supporting the management, maintenance and development of cloud based infrastructure on existing projects and designing, deploying and maintaining infrastructure for new projects that support the development team with IaC and CI/CD. You'll be using a range of modern tools and technologies including Kubernetes, Terraform and Ansible and able to assess and recommend new and emerging tools to add to the stack where appropriate.

The company works with stakeholders across the energy sector (consumers, industry, academia and government) to identify innovation priorities, gaps in the market and overcome barriers to accelerating the decarbonisation of the energy system at the lowest cost.

There's currently a remote interview and onboarding process as well as the ability to work from home; in time you'll be joining a friendly, relaxed team based in Central Birmingham one day a week (10 minute walk from 3 mainline stations), with continued flexibility to work from home 4 days a week.

*You have experience as a DevOps / Infrastructure / Cloud Engineer
*You have a good knowledge of Kubernetes and AWS
*You have experience with Continuous Delivery pipelines
*You have a good working knowledge of Linux OS
*You're able to code with an OO language such as Java or Python
*Experience with any of the following would be an advantage (but not essential): Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Postgres, MongoDB, Cassandra, Spark, Kafka
*You're collaborative with strong communication skills

As an Infrastructure Engineer / DevOps you will earn a competitive salary (to £60k) plus benefits.
