Job Description

Java Developer / Software Engineer (VOD) *Remote Interview WFH*. Are you a technologist seeking a new challenge? You could be working on a revolutionary new sports streaming / data platform to rival the likes of Sky and BT Sport within a collaborative, technology driven environment.

As a Java Developer you'll focus on building a Video on Demand platform that will be used to deliver content to a variety of targets via multiple devices and formats.

You'll be working in a collaborative, technology driven environment with a range of modern development practices including Continuous Deployments to the cloud environment (AWS); making technology decisions and contributing to product strategy.

Driven by technology the company is currently offering a remote interview and onboarding process as well as work from home for the foreseeable future with a flexible mix of office based and WFH going forward.

Requirements:
*You have strong core Java development experience and experience of using Java based tools (Spring, Akka, DropWizard)
*You have experience of working on large scale, distributed systems with scalability challenges
*You're experienced working with and deploying to Cloud services (AWS a plus)
*You have experience or the desire to work with and learn Video on Demand services (e.g. FFmpeg, HLS) and Scala
*You're familiar with microservices and CI/CD; DevOps environments, Ansible experience would be great
*You're a collaborative team member with excellent communication skills
