Job Description

JavaScript Front End Developer (OOP TDD SOLID JavaScript). Would you like to work on complex and interesting systems that provide daily challenges, be empowered to make technical decisions and take ownership whilst utilising cutting edge technologies and enjoying a good work / life balance with flexible working?

As a JavaScript Front End Developer at this scale-up FinTech you will work on a modern microservices based architecture with the core languages being JavaScript and Java with Docker Containerisation and Continuous Delivery (multiple deployments to AWS per day). All of the work is Greenfield development; you'll be adding new functionality and making improvements to performance working with a great deal of autonomy across the full development lifecycle within a collaborative, small team environment. You'll help the team to decide if and what frameworks to use and act as a JavaScript SME within the wider engineering team.

You'll be based in the vibrant East End of London in a cool, tech environment although you can work from home part of the week and enjoy a limitless holiday allowance.


*Strong vanilla JavaScript design and development skills
*Good knowledge of JavaScript frameworks with a pragmatic approach to their use (e.g.
React, Angular 6, Vue.js, Ember)
*Experience with some of the following; Babel, SASS / Less, Typescript, Webpack
*Advocate of Agile methodologies
*Good understanding of TDD, BDD, SOLID
*Collaborative, keen to learn and share ideas
