Job Description
Day-to-day you'll be monitoring IT security controls and make recommendations for improvements, partnering with the lead Security Engineer (based in London); responding to user security related issues, identifying emerging threats, analysing and reviewing IT system acceptable use and conducting cyber security incident reporting.
Driven by technology the company is able to offer a remote interview and onboarding process as well as work from home during the current social distancing measures; thereafter you'll be based in brand new, custom built offices in Coventry.
Requirements:
*You have a technical background with exposure to IT, security, network or cloud infrastructure administration
*You have a keen interest in Cyber Security with a good understanding of current security threats and trends; exposure and / or appreciation of root causes of cyber - attack methodologies e.g. e-mail phishing, malware, data breaches
*You have an analytical mindset and meticulous attention to detail
*Good knowledge of computer networks, TCP/IP fundamentals, operating systems, software, hardware and encryption technologies
*Working knowledge of various security technologies such as: Identity Access Management e.g. Active Directory; E-mail & Web filtering appliances; Anti-malware protection; Vulnerability Scanners; Host intrusion prevention; Network and application firewalls; Encryption techniques
*Ideally you will have a relevant security qualification e.g. CompTIA Security+, CySA+, SSCP or BSc in science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) subject
