Job Description
As the Lead NOC Engineer / Manager you'll ensure the network monitoring capability of the NOC meets best in class standards in terms of equipment, process and training and lead the team to ensure that procedures are carefully followed. You'll have oversight of system performance and service availability and will collaborate across teams (including development and external vendors) and with business and client stakeholders to inform of alerts and overall systems performance.
You will be responsible for team management and coordinating the 24x7x365 shift rota across NOC operations ensuring the NOC shift works in an efficient and effective manner and work closely with the team to provide leadership, mentoring and training.
You'll be based in modern offices in Manchester with all the latest kit; driven by technology the company is able to offer a remote interview and onboarding process during the current social distancing measures.
Requirements:
*You have a wealth of experience within a 24/7 NOC operation
*You're experienced with leading and managing teams across multiple shift patterns including the production of KPIs and reporting of these to senior management
*You have experience using applications such as Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana
*You're process orientated with meticulous attention to detail
*You have a good working knowledge of network topology and Cloud based solutions
*You're an excellent communicator, able to effectively describe technical issues to non-technical audiences including client stakeholders
