Optimisation Engineer (Mathematics PhD MINLP MILP C++ Python). Do you have a passion for problem solving and mathematics? You could be joining a well-funded technology start-up and working on complex and interesting mathematically based software systems, continually learning and progressing your career.

As an Optimisation Engineer you will join a small team and work closely with the Senior Optimisation Specialist to design and develop for the core product, a highly complex mathematically based optimisation solution that uses non-linear equations to turn questions into mathematically based queries. You'll focus on code optimisation, utilising your skills to ensure optimum solutions and help bring the product to market (with official launch planned for later this year).

Driven by technology this company is able to offer a remote interview / onboarding process during the current social distancing measures and offer flexible working conditions moving forward including the ability to work from home. Requirements:
*You have completed a PhD with a focus on mathematical optimisation with knowledge of researching and developing algorithms for solving (nonconvex and convex) MINLPs (mixed integer nonlinear programs) OR MILPs (mixed integer linear programs)
*You have experience of solving real-world problems by applying optimisation techniques coupled with strong modelling skills
*You'll be familiar with optimisation modelling systems (e.g. AMPL, GAMS and AIMMS) and solvers (e.g. CPLEX, GUROBI, XPRESS, KNITRO, CONOPT, IPOPT, BONMIN, BARON)
*You're able to code the C / C++ or Python
*You have experience with designing and implementing high performance mathematical optimisation solvers
*You're collaborative with good communication skills

As an Optimisation Engineer you will earn a competitive salary (to £60k, negotiable), plus benefits.

Integrity, Commitment, Quality and Endeavour

"As a software developer working in financial services looking for a role outside the sector... Oliver took this vague request and ran with it, producing specs for roles.... that were exactly what I was looking for... Oliver's and Client Server's cross-sector networks made this move possible, and it's a very unique aspect to their offering."

"Nick (and Client Server in general) are quite different from other recruiters I have dealt with. He takes the time to understand where you are and what you want next so that he can find the right job rather than just any job. The communication throughout the process was perfectly pitched and I'm very happy with the end result."

"I have worked with Client Server before to my satisfaction. They provide a very professional approach, excellent communication and an overall exceptional service in recruitment... David represents those values extremely well... I had no questions unanswered. He has organised the process with flawless precision. I would always recommend him."
