Python Software Engineer / DevOps (IaC Kubernetes Docker) *Remote Interview WfH*. Are you a highly technical Python Software Engineer with a good knowledge of Infrastructure as Code principles?
You could be joining a hugely successful Visual Effects provider.
As a Python Software Engineer within the Platform Engineering team you will focus on developing the primary infrastructure for the VFX platform, specifically the microservices platform and associated monitoring tools. You'll be working with and introducing modern technologies (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker, Grafana, Prometheus, Graylog); continually seeking improvements. As a senior member of the team you'll have a great deal of input into technical decision making, will help to mentor others and collaborate with other engineering teams to drive best practice.
There's currently a remote interview and onboarding process; in time you could join colleagues in the London office or remain working from home as desired.
*You have production level experience with Python for service backends or development infrastructure
*You have a strong knowledge of microservices architecture, design and implementation with knowledge of frameworks (such as uWSGI, NGINX, RabbitMQ and Flask)
*You have a strong knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker
*You have experience administering and gaining insight from monitoring tools (Prometheus, Alert Manager, Grafana and Graylog)
*You have a good knowledge of Linux OS
*You have an understanding of HTTP and JSON
*You're collaborative with great communication skills
