Job Description

QA Test Engineer (Java Performance Testing Load Resilience Non-Functional). Would you like to work on complex and interesting systems, gain valuable knowledge of financial trading and enjoy a good work life / balance with flexible working?

You could be joining a City based trading firm. As a QA Test Engineer you will join a small team responsible for performance, reliability and scalability. Responsibilities will include performing non-functional testing including load, performance and resilience; detailed performance investigations; build of proactive performance monitoring that prevents incidents and maintaining load test environments (perform deployments, data configuration, troubleshooting).

You'll become an SME, providing performance engineering expertise to support and development teams, helping to solve the most difficult non-functional production issues, with particular focus on those that cross the boundaries of development and infrastructure.

You'll be working in an informal atmosphere in the City with a good work life balance, casual dress code, bright, funky offices and a peaceful work environment.

Requirements:
*Strong non-functional testing experience including performance, load and resilience
*Ability to read and write Java code
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
*Degree educated; Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or Engineering
*Nice to have: exposure to garbage collection and JVM tuning; SOA; Splunk; Git
