Through deep science R&D, the company has created game-changing products using ground-breaking AI and parallel processing, focusing on data, video, imaging and point cloud compression.
In this Research Engineer role you'll be situated in the R&D video division of the business, where you'll take ownership of developing compression algorithms and codebases (C++) for new products. You'll directly contribute to design tools and strategies for efficiently processing and compressing images, videos and data, in conjunction with designing and running tests for developed algorithms, analysing data and preparing reports.
You'll work with a diverse tech stack; predominantly C++ and other specialist tools like AVC, HEVC, VP9 and AV1.

Requirements:
*You are educated to degree level, 2.1 or above in BSc Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or Mathematics
*You have experience of researching and developing algorithms in video processing and compression, this could have been gained at university or via commercial experience
*You have C++ coding skills (and ideally other programming languages)
*You're a proactive team player who excels when working collaboratively
*You are keen to learn, share knowledge and develop your technical craft
