Job Description

Security Engineer / Architect (Python Golang Web Application DevOps). Would you like to work on complex and interesting systems within a diverse, supportive environment whilst gaining valuable knowledge of banking applications?

You could be joining a growing FinTech that are developing a complete retail banking platform that is capable of being configured to suit the needs of any bank. The product has been engineered from the ground up as a Cloud Native, microservice API architecture platform.

As a Security Engineer / Architect you will help drive improvements to the product security through strategic planning and collaboration with both software development and infrastructure teams. You will produce production web scale grade application security design; review and produce data privacy and financial regulation functionality; carryout vulnerability assessments; security testing and provide subject matter expertise on all areas of security across the software development lifecycle.

You'll be working in a technology driven environment with regular tech talks and will have your voice heard on suggestions for improvements and the introduction of new technologies, working with a team of senior security technologists.

Requirements:
*Experience of designing security controls within a DevOps environment
*Strong coding skills with Python, Golang and / or Java
*Experience in web application penetration testing and security tooling (Burp proxy, Web/Network Scanners, Static code analysers, etc.)
*Good knowledge of Cloud technologies (AWS or Google Cloud Platform GCP preferred)
*Experience of performing security design reviews, threat modelling and risk assessments
*Collaborative with a genuine enthusiasm for security technologies
*Desirable: professional security qualifications (e.g. CISSP, Offensive Security, Sans Institute, etc.); contributions to the security tech community (e.g. blogging, meetups); awareness of the Data protection Act, ISO27001 and PCI-DSS
