Job Description
As a Security Operations Engineer you will assist the Lead in managing the delivery of the company's Security Operations with a focus on designing, implementing and operating processes. You'll partner with key stakeholders and manage 3rd party suppliers, together with detailed processes and run books specifying how SecOps interacts with the Site Reliability Engineering team and other technology teams across the business. There's no legacy systems and little red tape to get through so you'll be able to get things done and make a real impact in this hands-on position.
You'll be based in modern, open plan offices with all the latest kit; a well stocked kitchen / canteen area in a highly motivated team atmosphere with flexible working opportunities (2-3 days a week WFH).
Requirements:
*Experience of establishing and maturing Security Operations functions
*Vendor management experience, able to build strong working relationships and ensure top quality service
*Experience in securing mission critical, regulated workloads
*Broad security experience across security domains with deep expertise in Security Operations, monitoring, instant response
*Blue Team (Security Defence) experience
*Familiar with at least some of the following security tools, such as Akamai, Apigee, WAF, Forgerock, Splunk
*Basic knowledge of Cloud based systems (AWS, GCP, Azure)
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
