Job Description
You will head a team of Developer Advocates that drives engagement, outreach, developer tooling and development of platform plugins for their developer community; your audience could range from CTOs to tinkerers and hackers. You will be working closely with the Engineering Team, Product Managers and Marketing, to ensure alignment with strategy and programme execution with the freedom to experiment with new ideas and emerging technologies.
The platform is written in Node with elements of Golang and Elixir; you'll use a range of technology which is constantly under review, you'll collaborate to suggest new technologies and contribute to open source projects that the company supports or integrates into the product.
You'll be based in North London, in a start-up environment with casual dress code; there is also the ability to work from home if desired and collaborate via Slack (regular visits to the office will be required).
Requirements:
*Indepth, hands-on software engineering experience with experience across the full stack
*Experience speaking at technical conferences, meetups and hackathons as well as delivering technical content online
*Good conceptual understanding of streaming, messaging and pub/sub; ideally you will also have experience with Event Driven architectures and strong API ecosystem knowledge
*Genuine passion or technology, keep up to date with emerging technologies, contribute to the Open Source community, participate in online developer communities such as HackerNews, Stack Overflow, Twitter
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
