Are you a technologist seeking a lead role where your focus will be on growing and managing a team of highly talented software developers to deliver high technical solutions that impact the business? You could be joining a scale-up FinTech and making a real impact.

Most of the work is Greenfield development; as a Software Development Manager you'll be working across the business; liaising with other team leads to reach a common goal of producing banking software that will enable traditional banks to compete with technology driven challengers.

You will provide technical leadership, mentoring and guidance and be responsible for recruiting and retaining new team members.

There's a modern tech stack encompassing Java 11, microservices, AWS, Kafka, Big Data and Cryptography.

The company can currently offer a fully remote interview and onboarding process as well as the ability to work from home fulltime for the foreseeable; when possible you'll join colleagues in the Leeds office for 1-2 days a week.

Requirements:
*Strong software engineering background with Java with indepth experience of designing large, distributed cloud microservices systems
*Experience of leading projects across the full development lifecycle, establishing best practices
*Experience of working on highly transactional payments systems
*Familiarity with Cryptography and 3rd party vendors (ideally Threatmetrix or Crytomathic)
*Experience of leading and recruiting high performance software development teams
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills - pragmatic, able to inspire and motivate and produce detailed technical documentation
