Job Description
As a Systems Administrator you will support the development of a high performance cluster environment encompassing servers, storage, workstations and networking. This is a very hands on technical role that will include installations and Data Centre work such as racking, component swaps and network cabling. You'll automate wherever possible and help out with a range of tasks including some first line support and deeper investigations as part of a small, collaborative team.
There's plenty of scope for career progression as a Linux Systems Administrator, you'll be encouraged to stay up to date with industry best practice and have paid for training and certifications (e.g. RHSCA, RHCE).
The company is currently working with a mix of office and work from home with a great deal of flexibility but the expectation that you will be office based in Tunbridge Wells for the majority of the time.
Requirements:
*You're a Linux technology enthusiast with a breadth of experience as a Linux Systems Administrator or Engineer
*You have strong trouble shooting skills of systems and application issues
*You have a good understanding of storage, deployment, automation, configuration and networking (e.g. xCAT, Lustre, Cisco, Ansible)
*You're able to script / code with Python
*You're familiar with monitoring systems such as Zabbix and Ganglia
*You have a good understanding of Data Centre environments
*You're degree educated, Computer Science preferred
*You're collaborative, with good communication skills and client facing ability
