Job Description

Technical Support Engineer (Windows Linux Networking). Would you like to join a talented team of engineers delivering mission critical infrastructure ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance and security for a rapidly growing City based FinTech? The work is varied and interesting and will allow you to develop skills in different areas; there's a number of perks including free breakfast on Friday and catered lunches twice a month.

As a Technical Support Engineer you'll help build, maintain and troubleshoot a rapidly expanding infrastructure within a range of environments, keeping computer systems and network devices up and running on a tight SLA. You'll also get involved with project work; networking, 2nd line application support; liaising with vendors; automating systems wherever possible and documenting standard procedures and protocols.

*Previous experience within an Infrastructure Engineer / 3rd Line Support role
*Extensive networking experience (CISCO CCNA); routers, switching, BGP, OSPF, VPN
*Troubleshooting, VPS's, SANs and VMWare certified
*Experience configuring and troubleshooting Windows and Linux environments
*Scripting skills (Bash, PowerShell, Python)
*Experience with Automation software (Chef, Terraform)
*Able to cover on-call hours on a rota basis
*Excellent communication and collaboration skills
*Desirable: Cloud experience
