Job Description

Technical Support Engineer / Application Support Consultant (Java .Net) *Remote Interview WfH*. Market leading financial software house providing real-time web connectivity market data and trading services to investment banks and other financial institutions worldwide is a seeking a skilled Technical Support Engineer.

As a Technical Support Engineer you'll join the Service Desk responsible for providing 2nd / 3rd line technical support for customers' web based trading systems. Responsibilities will include eliciting diagnostic information from the customer, performing analysis and working with developers to review product code and work with parts of the customers' code to replicate issues that they are experiencing. You'll develop strong working relationships with clients and ensure that their requirements and expectations are managed in a professional manner.

Please note there are two positions available, one covering UK customers with hours of 0900 to 1700; the other supporting US based clients with hours of 1500 to 2300.

The company can offer a remote interview and onboarding process as well as the ability to work from home with a gradual return to the office planned for the new year (January 2022); based in central London with continued flexibility to work from two days week going forward.

Requirements:
*You have experience of providing technical support for software systems / applications
*You're able to read and understand Java code, ideally with basic coding skills
*You have a good knowledge of Linux OS including command line
*You have excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
*You have advanced analysis and problem solving abilities
*You're degree educated 2.1 or above in a STEM subject; Computer Science preferred
