Technical Writer / Author (FinTech API) *Remote Process*. Are you an accomplished senior Technical Writer, looking for an opportunity to showcase your expertise and take ownership of refining technical writing practices in a highly progressive FinTech?
The organisation is carving a revolutionary path in banking; staying a step ahead of their competitors through their unique, cloud-based technology. They are seeking an accomplished Technical Writer to help to build a world-class developer portal, creating navigable and useful content for clients.
In this Technical Writer role you'll join an Agile environment where you'll be granted the agency to influence technical writing practices as you see fit, improving the quality of existing documentation and ensuring standards of technical excellence are met.
You'll partner with developers and subject matter experts, taking ownership of Developer Experience products such as API and SDK references and how-to guides for their impressive client base.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically-sharp Technical Writer to inject their personal flair, shape technical writing practices and make an impact in a pioneering FinTech.
*Please note: this company is able to conduct a remote interview and onboarding process during the current social distancing measures. You will join modern offices in the heart of the City in due course, close to transport links and an excellent choice of amenities, plus some continued flexible work opportunities (2-3 days a week WFH).*
*You have demonstrable experience as a Technical Writer, writing for technical audiences (e.g. software developers)
*You have experience with authoring / project tracking tools like MarkDown, HTML, GitHub, JIRA, Confluence (and / or similar tools)
*You have strong working knowledge and experience of documenting APIs
*You understand where and why technical documentation is important and where it fits in the SDLC
*You're detail-oriented and passionate about your craft, committed to producing elegant, functional content
