Job Description
You could be joining a technology company that is producing game changing products using AI and parallel processing for data, video, imaging and point cloud compression.
As a Visual Quality Engineer you will establish and verify delivery of quality standards for the company's video compression products; you'll set the quality standards, evaluate and select metrics and approaches to be used in evaluating acceptance and help establish automated test processes. You will partner with R&D and QA teams to evaluate the Visual Quality impact of new algorithms or features and advise on how to make corrections and improvements.
Responsibilities will include designing and creating Visual Quality test conditions and scripts; using existing tools and techniques to execute VQ testing as well as creating new ones and defining and documenting guidelines and processes.
You'll be joining an accomplished and collaborative team based in Central London.

Requirements:
*Experience as a Visual Quality Engineer
*Strong understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD and test automation in a pipeline
*Good understanding and hands on experience of Git and SCM tools like Github / Gitlab
*Experience of working in Agile TDD / BDD environments
*Good understanding of image and video codecs
*Strong scripting ability with at least one of the following: Python, Bourne Shell, CMD, PowerShell, Perl, Ruby
*Familiarity with a wide range of VQ metrics and tools, including MS-SSIM, SSIM, JND, PSNR, VMAF, bitrate analytics, Video Clarity (or similar) and MSU VQ software
