Job Description
As a Windows Application Support Engineer, you will be joining a talented team to help deliver 1st line support for customers with physical appliances, virtual servers, and Cloud installations. A typical day for you might involve managing the ticketing system, diagnosing and resolving customer issues, providing a high level of customer service by explaining and training customers on IT products to reduce future problems, and performing preventative maintenance by monitoring, reporting, and resolving issues before they are logged. The company's web-based platform is built upon Linux utilising Open Source technologies and built using Python, Java and Kotlin.
The company is currently fully remote however, in time you will be required to go into the Reading based office 2 days a week. The office is located within walking distance of the train station.
Requirements:
*Strong communication skills are essential for this role as you will be customer facing
*Previous experience in an IT Support based role supporting an application
*Worked with ticketing systems to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently
*Good Windows system knowledge
*Strong problem-solving skills and methodical approach to investigating problems
