Application Support Engineer (Java Linux) London / WFH to £70k

Are you a customer focussed Application Support Engineer with Java coding skills? You could be progressing your career in a senior, hands-on role at a market leading FinTech that provide real-time web connectivity market data and trading services to investment banks and other financial institutions worldwide.

As an Application Support Engineer you'll join the Service Desk responsible for providing 2nd / 3rd line technical support for customers' web based trading systems. Responsibilities will include eliciting diagnostic information from the customer, performing analysis and working with developers to review product code (Java) and work with parts of the customers' code to replicate issues that they are experiencing. You'll develop strong working relationships with clients and ensure that their requirements and expectations are managed in a professional manner.

WFH Policy:

You'll be able to work from home most of the time, meeting up with colleagues in the London office 1-2 days a week.

Requirements:

  • You have experience of providing Application / Technical support for Java trading software systems / applications
  • You're able to code with Java and collaborate closely with software engineers
  • You have a good knowledge of Linux OS
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • You have advanced analysis and problem solving abilities
  • You're degree educated in a STEM subject; Computer Science preferred
