Backend Software Engineer / Developer (Java Kafka) Malta to €65,000

Are you a Java technologist with strong Kafka experience?

As a Backend Software Engineer you will join as the team is beginning to build a brand new, real-time, cloud based marketing platform to support the expansion of Sports and Casino betting sites in North America and beyond. You'll be an instrumental part of an Agile development team, participating in code reviews and pair programming within a DevOps culture.

Location / WFH:

You'll join the team in the Malta office three days a week with flexibility to work from home the other two days.

About you:

• You have strong Java, SpringBoot and microservices experience
• You have experience of working with event-driven architectures using Kafka
• You have a good understanding of databases, NoSQL, IaC (using Terraform) and CI/CD
• You are collaborative and happy to mentor others, participate in code reviews and Pair Programming exercises
• You have fluent English language skills
