Infrastructure Engineer / SRE *Remote / WFH*. Would you like to work on technically challenging systems and take ownership of a modern tech stack whilst enabling life changing education to be accessed by students around the world?

You could be progressing your career in a senior hands-on role at a "Tech for Good" company that's education platform is accessed by millions of students across the globe (currently 22 countries and growing).

There many technical challenges and problems to solve in supporting the core platform and allowing the development teams in London to deploy updates automatically and increase scalability and availability via the Cloud (AWS).

You'll be working with modern IaC principles to design, build, test and maintain large-scale, fault-tolerant distributed systems, collaborating with development teams before the launch of a new service by running activities including system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning and launch reviews. You will also maintain services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency and overall system health.

Following a remote interview you can work remotely from anywhere in the UK but will be encouraged to meet up with the team on a fairly regular basis in London (expenses paid).


  • You have experience of running infrastructure for consumer-facing services, for a mass market with large distributed systems
  • You have a strong desire to automate with Docker and Kubernetes experience
  • You have a good understanding of IaC (Terraform experience would be great)
  • You have a good knowledge of AWS
  • You have a good knowledge of network protocols / services: TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, Firewalls, Load Balancers
  • Your able to script / code: Python or Go preferred
  • Ideally you will also have a good knowledge of Linux and CI/CD pipelines
