Data Centre Engineer (MAAS Python Linux) Toronto / WFH to $150,000 CAD

As a Data Centre Engineer you'll take ownership of two new data centre locations in Toronto, including building software defined hardware management, working with, and developing data centre automation tooling (MAAS), interacting with vendors, asset tracking and handling deliveries. This is a varied role where you'll use your Python development skills to develop Metal as a Service (MAAS) software to work with a large variety of server and network hardware and manage the physical set-up of the lab environment, ensuring it is well structured and tidy.

You'll seek to improve and extend hardware and network monitoring through automation and regularly update asset management tools to ensure accuracy and completeness of the lab's hardware.

Location / WFH:

You can work from home most of the time but must be commutable within Toronto and able to attend Data Centres at two locations within the city.

About you:

• You have a strong record of academic achievement, minimum 2.1 at BSc in a relevant discipline, Computer Science preferred
• You have Python coding skills
• You have Linux Administration experience
• You have a mix of Rack and Virtual systems experience
• You're able to manage changing priorities and have excellent time management skills
• You are a Canadian citizen or hold a valid work permit
