Data Engineering Lead (GCP Spark Airflow) London / Abu Dhabi to £180k

Are you a data engineering technologist seeking an opportunity to progress your career?

You could be joining a hugely profitable Hedge Fund with multi-billions under management.

As a Data Engineering Lead you will collaborate as part of a small engineering team building critical trading infrastructure and components to support execution, treasury and risk and data analytics. You'll own the roadmap and prioritise features, owning data modelling, architecture and implementation to manage ambiguous, complex and fragmented datasets in real-time.

Location:

Initially you'll be based in the London office (4-5 days a week), however, after approximately six months you'll be required to relocate to Abu Dhabi on a fulltime basis - you'll receive assistance with visas and there's an attractive relocation package for you and your immediate family.

About you:

• You have strong programming skills with at least one of the following: Python, Java, Kotlin, Rust
• You have experience with modern data tools such as Spark, Airflow, Snowflake, Kafka
• You have experience within a financial services / trading environment
• You have experience with GCP (or AWS)
• You have excellent communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills
• You are degree educated in a relevant discipline
