Desktop Support Engineer (Windows) St. Helier, Jersey onsite to £125k

Do you have expertise with Windows Desktop Support within financial environments?

You could be progressing your career at a hugely profitable Hedge Fund as they establish a new office in Jersey.

As a Desktop Support Engineer you will ensure that all Windows 11 desktops have current, validated packages available for deployment, maintain a robust patching and installation framework, write PowerShell scripts to automate and streamline desktop operations and ensure the observability platform.

You'll be working in a fast paced front office trading environment, supporting and communicating with non-technical stakeholders, including traders and c-suite management to ensure optimal systems and no down time.

Location:

You'll be based in fantastic new offices in St Helier, Jersey on a full time basis, Monday to Friday.

About you:

• You are degree educated in Information Technology, Computer Science or closely related discipline, having achieved a 2.1 or above, MSc advantageous
• You have strong end-user desktop support experience within a finance environment / trading floor with zero-tolerance for downtime
• You have an advanced knowledge of Windows and Microsoft stack e.g. O365, Active Directory, PowerShell scripting for automation
• You have experience of building and managing software packaging and patching frameworks at scale
• You have advanced communication skills
