As a DevOps Engineer, you will be joining the Platform team who are responsible for building and maintaining an in-house built trading platform that runs on top of an internal AWS hosted platform. You will pro-actively monitor and create alerts for the production environment to ensure scalability, availability, security, and integrity, implement modern Infrastructure as Code, and reduce manual processes to meet the high performance and availability demands of a modern, highly complex trading system. As a senior member of the team, you will play a key role in implementing modern tooling to take the platform to the next level and standardise build processes, including moving to Kubernetes from Fabric Server and improving metrics and alerting.

The company is based in St Albans, with on-site parking available, and you will have the option of working remotely 2 days a week.

Requirements:

• You have a background in software engineering and experience within DevOps / Platform Engineering roles
• You have experience with the following: Cloud (AWS), Jenkins or Azure DevOps, and Kubernetes
• You have a good understanding of IaC principles, ideally with Terraform
• You have a strong academic background having achieved a 2:1 or above in Computer Science or a STEM subject
• You have excellent communication and collaboration skills
