Founding Engineer / Developer (C# React AI) London / WFH to £140k

Are you a technologist who enjoys building systems from scratch, looking for a new opportunity to get stuck into?

You could be progressing your career in a Founding Engineer role at a scaling tech start-up that is producing an AI enhanced smart workflow and orchestration platform for Private Equity firms.

As the Founding Engineer you'll take the MVP, built in C# with React frontend, hosted on AWS, through design and development phases into pilots and launch, bringing development in-house, iterating rapidly with design partners and shaping the product architecture for long-term scale.

The company has recently completed a successful early fundraising round which was oversubscribed, securing over £400k of committed capital.

You will take ownership of the technology roadmap and play a central role in building both the product and the engineering team around it. You will lead the hands-on development of the platform, shaping its architecture while building the first internal engineering capability and evolving the product from MVP to production platform.

You will also set engineering best practices, provide technical leadership aligned with strategic goals and collaborate closely with product and domain stakeholders to design, build and deliver scalable solutions.

Location / WFH:

There's a remote first policy with the caveat that you're commutable London and happy to meet once a week / fortnight for constructive meetings.

About you:

• You have strong software engineering experience across the full stack, with a focus on C# .Net, React, Postgres and AWS
• You have a deep understanding of SaaS product development
• You have experience of using modern AI assisted development tools and LLM workflows
• You're keen to work in a start-up environment, where you can shape and influence the technical direction and your role
• You're able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
• You have a strong grounding in Computer Science
