Junior Software Engineer / Developer (Python) Amsterdam to €72,000+

Are you a bright ambitious Junior Software Engineer with strong Python coding skills?

You could be progressing your career at a small, specialist Investment Management firm that trade on US Commodity Futures markets.

As a Junior Software Engineer / Developer you will collaborate closely with a senior engineer to build backend systems and trading connectivity. You'll be coding in Python, working with a modern tech stack encompassing Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform and TimescaleDB, continually learning and developing your skills.

Location:

You'll be based fulltime in Amsterdam (Monday to Friday); please note the working hours are 1330 to 2200 to accommodate working on US markets.

About you:

• You have a strong record of academic achievement in Computer Science or similar STEM discipline, likely to have studied to MSc / PhD level
• You have strong backend Python coding skills
• You are familiar with other technology in the stack: Kubernetes, Docker, IaC, Terraform, PostgreSQL, TimescaleDB
• You have experience of working on low latency, high throughput systems (ideally trading systems but could be other such as telcos, games)
• You are collaborative with fluent English language skills
