Platform Engineer (Linux Cloud bash Python) *Remote / WfH*. Are you a technologist Platform Engineer with a strong knowledge of Linux? You could be joining a fast growing FinTech solutions provider and gaining valuable knowledge of Open Banking technology whilst collaborating to solve real world problems and continually learning on a modern tech stack.

As a Platform Engineer you will ensure the smooth running of complex, distributed systems, collaborating with a small team and partnering with software engineers to design inventive solutions to maintain system reliability and scalability. You'll be exploring cutting edge server, deployment and hosting technologies, contributing to delivering the most secure platform in finance.

The company is currently able to offer a remote interview and onboarding process as well as the ability to work full-time from home for the foreseeable with plans to return to the office in East London in the coming months, with continued flexibility to work from home, only visiting the office around once a quarter for team meet-ups (or more if desired).

* You have an indepth knowledge of Linux and understand Kernel level development
* You have strong scripting / programming skills with bash, Python, PHP or Golang
* You have a good knowledge of cloud based services; ideally GCP (or AWS), you will be using GCP going forward but can pick this up on the job
* You have experience of designing solutions within microservices based architectures
* You have a good understanding of containerisation with Kubernetes and Docker
* You're pro-active, continually seeking improvement
* You enjoy collaborating and problem solving
