Your Role:

As a Principal Data Engineer, you will be joining a multi-disciplinary team of software engineers, data engineers, and data scientists who are currently re-building the platform offering. You will focus on designing and developing complex data processing modules ranging from ETL to ML, working closely with the Algorithmic and Platform teams who are developing the machine learning models and architecting the core of the insurance platform. You will also design, build, and optimise production grade data pipelines that will feed into the algorithms, and will uncover how the team can utilise new internal and external data sources. This is an incredibly exciting time to be joining the team as you will be able to make key technical decisions and have a large impact on how the platform is built.

Office & WFH Policy:

The company is based in London however, you can work remotely 2 - 2 days a week if preferred.


  • You are an experienced Data Engineer who has solid fundamental coding experience using Python
  • You have experience creating data lakes and streaming platforms
  • You have a strong understanding of GCP or AWS
  • You ideally have had some exposure to Kubernetes and Terraform
  • You have a computer science background (degree educated, 2:1 and above)
  • You enjoy knowledge sharing and mentoring others
  • You have excellent communication and collaboration skills
