Quality Engineering Lead London / WFH to £90k

Do you have technical expertise with Quality Engineering?

You could be progressing your career in a hands-on technical leadership role at a well established consumer facing financial services company that help people to manage debt, as they go through a technical transformation and scale-up following recent investment.

As the Quality Engineering Lead you will create the culture of quality within the engineering teams, collaborating with software engineers across Agile Squads to ensure quality is built in throughout the development lifecycle and to enable speed of delivery.

You'll define and implement automated test frameworks and tooling, from in-line unit and integration, ad hoc exploratory and CI/CD to end-to-end automated testing, ensuring teams have the infrastructure, tooling and visibility needed to understand quality signals (e.g. coverage, failures, trends and hotspots). You will also the freedom to explore AI and automation tools to increase team and platform effectiveness.

Location / WFH:

You'll be based in fantastic new offices in London that offer a wide range of facilities including wellness rooms and onsite gym for three days a week with flexibility to work from home twice a week.

About you:

• You have experience as senior SDET, Quality Engineer or quality focussed Engineer Manager role
• You have strong hands-on technical skills with experience of developing and supporting automated test tools for unit, integration and API end-to-end testing
• You have experience of embedding developer first quality engineering practices in product engineering teams (rather than running a separate QA function)
• You have a good understanding of full stack TypeScript based systems, microservices, APIs, modern front end frameworks (e.g. React) and RDBMS (e.g. Oracle)
• You're familiar with CI/CD pipelines, observability and cloud native delivery practices
• You have experience working in start-ups / scaling companies with rapid customer growth
• You're collaborative and pragmatic with great communication skills
